About Dan Deacon
Dan Deacon returns in February 2020 with ‘Mystic Familiar’, his first album in five years and the stunning result of years of obsessive work, play, and self-discovery. It’s not only his most emotionally open record but also his most transcendent! Eleven kaleidoscopic tracks of majestic synth-pop that exponentially expand Deacon’s sound with unfettered imagination and newfound vulnerability.
It’s an album that captures an artist mindfully evolving his music from playful beginnings to encompass a prismatic cosmos of addictive ideas, melody and purpose! This special Scala show celebrates the release of ‘Mystic Familiar’ and Dan’s long-awaited return to London!
LONE TAXIDERMIST presents intense acid rave howling with psychotic chaos brought to you from the Seychelles via Cumbria. 170 bpm and faster! Lone Taxidermist is the utterly bizarre and otherworldly ruptured activity generated by Cumbrian musician, costume maker, skin decorator, performer and natural provocateur Natalie Sharp. Her performances manifest icons and deities drawn from the corners of the (Post-)Internet and have been known to turn audiences members into exhibitionists. Sharp effortlessly blends ‘instruments’ which come to hand– whether that be songwriting, multi-instrumentalism or mastery of non-standard instruments like musical saw and theremin, stagecraft, costumes, graphic art, video making, face paint, vocal technique, remixing and DJing.
