About Vance Joy

Vance Joy returns to London for a full band show at Scala on 11th February 2014.

Two sold out October gigs at London’s Sebright and Shacklewell Arms, plus headline shows in Manchester, Birmingham and Bristol, confirmed the word of mouth buzz generated by the singer songwriter, breaking out of Australia and taking his songs to the world.

Currently working on his debut album with Ryan Hadlock (producer for The Lumineers’ platinum debut album) in the wilds of America’s Pacific Northwest, Vance Joy will return to London in support of the release of his EP ‘God Loves You When You’re Dancing’. Out on November 25, it is released via Infectious Music (home to indie heroes such as alt-J, These New Puritans and Drenge to name a few).

Single ‘Riptide’ has created a stir back in his native Australia generating Triple Platinum Sales for the single and Gold sales for the EP, while support slots for the likes of Tom Odell, Lissie and Ben Howard have grabbed attention elsewhere.

‘Riptide’ was a number one on Hype Machine earlier this year and Vance Joy is already looking set for UK success with Radio 1’s Fearne Cotton calling it her “song of the year,” an XFM playlisting and a soon to be ubiquitous synch for BrandAlley’s debut advertising campaign.
