About The View

After playing to 10,000 people over the course of four euphorically received nights in Glasgow last December, The View are now ready to show the rest of the UK what they’re missing. The band – consisting of founder members Kyle Falconer (vocals/guitar), Kieren Webster (bass/vocals) and Pete Reilly (guitar) – will play their first full-scale UK headline tour since 2017 this autumn, which includes a London show at the Scala.

The View’s Kyle Falconer commented, “Touring has always been what we’ve done best, we just needed some time to refuel. Can’t wait to get back to it!”
When The View reconvened after five years apart, the three old-friends realised just how much they have missed… well, everything about being in a band: the rush of seeing an audience react to their performances, the camaraderie of being together, a simple jam idea evolving into a fully-fledged song. After all that, how could you resist wanting more?

That connection gathered pace in Granada, Spain as they worked on new material with the Grammy Award winning producer Youth (The Verve, Jesus & Mary Chain, The Charlatans). The result, the upcoming ‘Exorcism of Youth’, weaves fresh sonic elements into their renowned rock ‘n’ roll sound. Their first new track in eight years, ‘Just Like’, received a suitable big reaction with a first play from Jo Whiley at Radio 2, followed by being named Track of the Week at Amazing Radio. The View’s return continued to gain traction with the follow-up ‘Neon Lights’.
