About La Raíz

‘Rage, partying and protest’. These are the words commonly used by La Raíz to describe their style. The group is one of the latest artistic success stories that has appeared in a genre that tends to be ignored and forgotten by the media. We’re talking about fusion, a genre that, year after year, brings together thousands of people at countless festivals and that firmly holds its ground in a world that is saturated by indie music.

Instead of being held back by the label, they seem to wear it with enviable ease and pride. They accept that their focus has always been the language of those without a voice, and they follow their body, heart and stomach instead of their mind, in favour of the committed message of their creations.

Since their début, but especially after releasing ‘Guerra al silencio’ (2009), their third full album, they have grown and established themselves as one of the genre’s most unique and popular bands.

‘Así en el cielo como en la selva’, their latest full album, confirmed their status and they responded with memorable performances at Viña Rock, Arenal Sound, Pole Pole Fest in Belgium and Holland’s World Festival. The band spread out a number of concerts throughout 2015 to focus on recording their next album, Entre poetas y presos (2016), which we will welcome in London while marking the start of an amazing tour that will position them as one of the biggest, and most important Spanish fusion groups of this decade.

Rock Sin Subtítulos has decided that the best way to close our eighth season of concerts in London is to welcome the summer in with a big party.

Doors open at 9pm. Live gig at 10pm.
