About Xmassaoke – The Christmas Singalong
Massaoke has announced its Christmas spectacular at Scala in King’s Cross, one of London’s best live music venues, on Thursday 15th December.
If you’re not familiar with Massaoke, the idea is simple but unique: a sensational live band plays the greatest rock, pop and indie anthems, and the crowd is the star of the show, singing as one, guided by lyrics and videos on a giant screen.
This Christmas Special will include all your favourite Christmas singalong hits along with plenty of other hairbrush anthems, from ABBA to Wizzard. And you can expect a few surprise celebrity guests along the way too… previous guest stars have included the likes of Fatman Scoop, Julian Clary, Al Murray, Erasure’s Andy Bell and even Channel 4 News Anchor Jon Snow (whose version of Blur’s Parklife is a YouTube must-see)!
The live music will start shortly after 9pm, so you needn’t worry about it being a school night if you want to be sensible. But for those who don’t, when your voice can sing no more, DJs Iain Baker (Jesus Jones, XFM) and Jody Thompson (Secret Garden Party) will be spinning all the best pop tunes until 2am.
“One of London’s best nights out” – Sunday Mirror
“Karaoke just got bigger… an awful lot of fun” – Evening Standard
“Massaoke could be the answer to world peace” – Upside News
