About Ernia

Ernia, born Matteo Professioni in Milan in 1993, is one of the most distinctive voices in contemporary Italian rap. Emerging from Milan’s hip-hop scene, he first gained attention through the collective Troupe D’Elite before establishing himself as a solo artist. Known for his introspective lyrics, versatile flow, and emotionally honest storytelling, Ernia blends classic rap influences with modern production and melodic elements. His breakthrough came with projects such as “Come uccidere un usignolo,” followed by acclaimed albums including “Gemelli” and “Io non ho paura.” Through his evolving sound and candid approach, Ernia has become a prominent figure in Italy’s new-generation hip-hop scene.
