About Arif Lohar
Arif Lohar, a legendary Pakistani singer, is a torchbearer of Punjabi folk music and a celebrated performer worldwide. Son of the renowned folk singer Alam Lohar, he gained international fame with his iconic song “Jugni”, recorded with Nooran Lal in 2006. Known for his distinctive Chimta (a native Punjabi musical instrument resembling tongs), his music embodies the rich heritage of Punjab.
With over 50 international tours across the UK, USA, UAE, and beyond, Arif Lohar has enthralled audiences worldwide. In 2004, he performed at the Asian Games opening ceremony in China, captivating a crowd of nearly one million. His influence even reached North Korea, where he performed for the late General Secretary Kim Jong-il as part of an international peace delegation.
