After their first, critically acclaimed and successful debut album “Howl”, Mighty Oaks will release their second full-length record in spring 2017. To shorten the wait, the band is releasing “Horsehead Bay”, a much-loved song that the band has been playing live for some time now, but was never recorded or released.

“Horsehead Bay” is in Gig Harbor, Washington, where Ian grew up. It is also close to famous Bear Creek studio where Mighty Oaks spent the last months recording their forthcoming album together with producer Ryan Hadlock (the Lumineers, Vance Joy).

Toward the end of 2015, after almost two years on tour, each band member traveled back to his home country to spend time with family and gather energy and inspiration for album two. This journey was accompanied by film-maker and close friend, Andrew Saunderson. The music video for “Horsehead Bay” shows Ian, Claudio and Craig in their hometowns Gig Harbor (USA), Pesaro (Italy) and Bridgwater (England).
