DESCRIPTION:Following two sold out headline shows and a support tour with T
 egan and Sera\, Alabama-born Katie Crutchfield will be returning in Octobe
 r under her Waxahatchee moniker to play London’s Scala. With 'Cerulean S
 alt'\, Crutchfield turns it up a notch and plugs in the guitar as well as 
 adding a few band mates. A more accomplished and polished record than her 
 debut\, but no less intimate and affecting\, the strength of 'Cerulean Sal
 t' lies in the simplicity and purity of its songs\; a quality that ties th
 em to millennial pop-punk\, with melodies that immediately penetrate along
 side Crutchfield’s frank vocal\, delivering devastating\, straight-from-
 the-heart lyrics backed by lacerating guitars and slouchy basslines. 'Ceru
 lean Salt' is already out and receiving rave reviews in the US on Don Giov

 chfield emerges from behind the drum kit (she played drums in Crutchfield
 ’s former band P.S Eliot) to front the Brooklyn/Philidelphia-based Swear
 in’ alongside co-songwriter Kyle Gilbride. The band released their debut
  album of excellent self recorded fuzz-pop in 2012. This will be their fir
 st london show: expect crunchy guitars\, resonant lyrics and nods to class
