SUMMARY:Sigh + Anaal Nathrakh at Scala - Wednesday 14th December 2022 - 6:3
 0 pm until 10:30 pm
DESCRIPTION:Join us for this exclusive Co-headline show at Scala on Decembe
r 14th 2022. It's been over a decade since Japanese black metal legends Si
gh graced the British Isles\, and over three years since Anaal Nathrakh br
ought their ferocious and highly-regarded live show to the UK (or anywhere
else!). Sigh's latest magickal opus 'Shiki' recently released by the lege
ndary record label Peaceville\, shows the band at their absolute peak and
is already proving to be some of their most well received work in years. W
hile this will be the first Anaal Nathrakh ritual since 2020's explosive a
nd monumental 'Endarkenment'.\n\nCheck out some words from Dave Hunt of An
aal Nathrakh for more!\n\n"Pandemics can\, apparently\, be unpredictable.
Sometimes they can push the world into lockdown right when you've just rec
orded a stunning new album. Sometimes a project can blow up during a pande
mic and change how you need to approach everything. In our case\, there wa
s definitely unfinished business\, with any plans for touring in the wake
of Endarkenment destroyed by the virus. There was also a change of plan fo
r Mick which meant that his focus had to shift\, for the time being at lea
st. But that sense of unfinished business finally got too much to take\, a
nd so it was decided that Dave\, with Mick's full support\, would team up
with a few bad men from the AN live lineup and the peerless Akercocke/Voic
es stable for a very special evening with the incomparable Sigh in London
in December. This is a very rare opportunity to catch SIGH perform in this
time zone and one that will very likely not come around again any time soo
n! In terms of ANAAL NATHRAKH\, it is possible that a further select few s
hows will snowball out of this or it could very well be the last show ever
. All we know is that it promises to be a fine night of apocalyptic chaos.
