DESCRIPTION:New Regency Orchestra has created a storm in the last three yea
 rs with its mighty twelve-piece horn section\, lock-tight five-piece rhyth
 m section and the NRO dancers bringing new energy and arrangements to the 
 golden age of latin jazz and salsa.\n\nInspired by New York’s melding of
  Jazz and Latin from the 50s to the 70s\, when jazz luminaries Dizzy Gille
 spie and Charlie Parker collided with the Cuban roots of Chano Pozo and Ma
 chito\, NRO add a contemporary London spin with the city’s best Latin Mu
 sic and Jazz talent driving each other to greater heights.\n\n2024 finds N
 RO ready for the world. The band’s debut album is being pressed for rele
 ase by Mr Bongo on June 14\, with two singles on April 3 and May 2.\n\nThe
  18-piece big band formed in London in 2021 to provide a regular gig for m
 embers of the city’s Jazz and Latin scenes emerging from lockdown. Begin
 ning with a show at South Facing Festival\, the band built a following wit
 h a residency at EartH Theatre. Touring shows across England included main
  stages at We Out Here and Brighton Festival with more in the summer and a
 utumn of 2024.\n‘A hepcat big band with a vibe straight out of the Nuyor
 ican barrios…a killer rhythm section\, mighty wall of horns and moments 
 of sparkling call-and-response between instruments and dancers – given a
  21st century London twist with new influences\, arrangements and attitude
