About M Clan (Live) & Mega Spanish Party
M-Clan is a band from Murcia formed in the early ’90s by Carlos Tarque and Ricardo Ruipérez. In March 1993 new members like Santiago Campillo, Pascual Saura, Juan Otero and Iñigo Uribe, join them and start playing together under the name of ‘El clan de los murciélagos’, (The Clan of bats), which soon after became ‘M-Clan’.
Heavily influenced by Southern rock, they debuted with the album Un Buen Momento in 1996, followed by Coliseum a year later.
In 1999, ex-Tequila Alejo Stivel produced Usar y Tirar, which provided an acclaimed slice of the band’s folk, blues, and hard rock style.
On November 23, 2000, a live acoustic performance was recorded, becoming M-Clan’s fourth record. Sin Enchufe (“Unplugged”) was released in 2001. After 2002’s Defectos Personales , M-Clan released Sopa Fría in 2004, and a career retrospective, Retrovisión in 2006. Memorias de un Espantapájaros followed in 2008, before Para No Ver el Final in 2010, while in 2012 the Spanish rockers released Arenas Movedizas.
Right after their exclusive show at London´s Scala, another edition of the massive and very popular amongst Spaniards Mega Spanish Party club night will kick in. Great vibe and atmosphere guaranteed till the early hours of Sunday morning.
