About Chuck Inglish & Sir Michael Rocks (aka The Cool Kids)

Alternative hip hop duo, Chuck Inglish with Sir Michael Rocks AKA The Cool Kids  announce their UK headline date London.

The Cool Kids are Midwest rappers Antoine “Sir Michael Rocks” Reed (originally from Matteson, Illinois) and Evan “Chuck Inglish” Ingersoll (originally from Mount Clemens, Michigan) who met in 2005 when Reed found a beat on MySpace that Ingersoll had produced. The two met in person to discuss terms of the beat’s sale where they eventually ended up recording for two hours and have never looked back.

Since then the duo met DJ Diplo who offered to release a mixtape ‘Totally Flossed Out’ and also released various other mixtapes through various other imprints featuring tracks such as “A Little Bit Cooler” and ‘Black Mags’ and eventually unleased debut album, ‘When Fish Ride Bicycles’ in 2011. Ingersoll and Reed have collaborated with numerous artists such as Chip tha Ripper, Asher Roth, Yelawolf, Ivan Ives, The Bloody Beetroots, Drake, Travis Barker, Lil Wayne, Ludacris, Mac Miller, Maroon 5, Curren$y and toured with the likes of MIA.

The Cools Kids announced in late 2012 that they were going on a brief hiatus. Chuck Inglish released his debut solo album “Convertibles” earlier this year which features The Cool Kids, Chromeo, Chance The Rapper, Action Bronson, Vic Mensa, Mac Miller, Ab-Soul amongst others and was co-produced by Mike Einziger of INCUBUS. Sir Michael Brooks signed to Jet Life Recordings, a Warner Bros. imprint and will be releasing solo record BANCO later this year.

Earlier this year via twitter Chuck Inglish w/ Sir Michael Rocks The Cool Kids announced the end of their hiatus and plan to release their heavily anticipated album “Shark Week” ahead of their UK tour.
