DESCRIPTION:When Casey called it a day back in 2019\, it felt like a premat
 ure demise. Their two full-length albums – 2016’s Love Is Not Enough a
 nd 2018’s Where I Go When I Am Sleeping – had firmly established the W
 elsh five-piece as one of the most exciting bands in Britain’s alternati
 ve scene in just a few short years.\n\nSome four or so years later\, the b
 and have returned\; not only to sold out crowds on their first reappearanc
 e on stage\, but also with new music in hand. ‘Great Grief’ was the fi
 rst song to emerge from their resurrection\, a gorgeously gloomy track tha
 t sees the band expand on the layered soundscapes that underpinned the son
 gs of their second album Where I Go When I Am Sleeping. It’s quintessent
 ial Casey – broken\, bruised and bloody\, but simultaneously shimmering 
 with beautiful defiance. The latest single ‘Atone’ begins as a brutal 
 blast of post-hardcore noise\, but soon transforms into an overwhelming sw
 athe of dark calm\, a breath held as the world burns.\n\nOne listen to the
  new songs\, and it’s clear the band needn’t worry about the integrity
  of their fresh creative vision\, nor their emotional investment in it. Bo
 th songs are quintessential Casey\, open hearts dripping with the same kin
 d of pain and trauma that defined the band from the start. Because Casey s
 ongs don’t just replicate the feelings that inspire them – they embody
