There may be no other band in the world that has traced a path quite like Japan’s Boredoms. Across nearly 30 years, founder and leader Eye, along with Yoshimi , has taken the band on a cosmic road trip, from the early swamps of chaos through times of tribal frenzy, oceanic tranquility, and massive sonic constructions.
On 07/07/07, Boredoms gathered 77 drummers to perform a unique piece and they staged another unique event on 08/08/08 with 88 drummers (both in NYC and LA) , since then, they performed many drum event around world. The latest was Boredoms with 88 cymbal players at the Barbican in 2015.
The band has spent the last two decades redefining the concept of noise and experimentation within pop, punk, and psychedelic music. Acknowledging no limits of genre or form, there are no boundaries, no ceiling on the possibilities of experience and expression for the Boredoms.
